On September 27, 2023, a workshop on the effective application of the single file - first intention was held at the Afrin Hotel in Maputo, with the participation of the Provincial Health and Gender Services, the Family and Minor Victims of Violence Office, the Maputo City Prosecutor's Office, Maputo City Council, General Hospitals and representatives of 7 Municipal Districts (KaMfumo, Nkhamanculo, KaMavota, Kamaxaquene, KaMubukwana, Katembe and KaNyaka).
The first intention file is an instrument for collecting data from victims of physical violence and sexual violation.
The objectives of this meeting were to harmonize the way of completing the form, present the good practices manual and the results of the supervisions carried out in the seven districts of the city of Maputo.
The first intention form is filled out at the first entrance door where the victim goes, with the aim of avoiding re-victimization and standardizing the information collected.
The main problems encountered during the supervisions of the multi-sector group were also reported at this meeting, namely the existence of different record books for each sector and a lack of updating of data in the system or in the record books, which It means that some sectors are using and reporting data that is not up to date.
