Moving forward towards a society free of gender-based violence.
PROMURA - Association for the Protection of Women and Girls held a community talk on various topics related to Gender Violence (GBV) on May 20, 2024, in the Nawe neighborhood, in Metoro (Ancuabe district), including abuse. and sexual exploitation and premature unions.
With the presence of 50 people attending, including 28 women and 22 men, during the talk they also talked about the reporting mechanisms for GBV cases and the importance of reporting and referring all cases of violence, since only then can we move forward towards a society free of gender-based violence.
It is important to note that these community talks, carried out by PROMURA, in collaboration with medicusmundi and the health sector, are carried out within the framework of the Agreement 22-CO1-398 “Improving the quality, coverage, and resilience of the Cabo Delgado health system” (2023-2026), financed by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).
