On July 17, 2025, medicusmundi delivered medical supplies to the District Health, Women and Social Action Services (SDSMAS) of Ancuabe.
A total of 180 blood collection bags of different sizes were delivered, including transfer bags and double blood donation bags. This initiative aims to strengthen the response capacity of the district's health services, contributing to the continuity and quality of care provided.
During the reception, the District Nursing Supervisor thanked medicusmundi for its continued support, emphasizing that the supplies arrived at the right time, given the imminent risk of shortages. He also highlighted that this donation strengthens the blood collection capacity during specific campaigns, helping to maintain the blood bank's reserves and guaranteeing patient access to essential healthcare.
This activity falls within the scope of AECID Agreement 22-CO1-398 "Improving the quality, coverage, and resilience of the Cabo Delgado healthcare system" funded by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) and co-financed by the Municipality of Lleida.
