Activity carried out as part of the humanitarian project funded by the Generalitat Valenciana and Valencian Cooperation.
The supplies were allocated to the health facilities of Mapupulo and Ntapata, which provide services to the communities of the resettlement centres of Campona and Mumane.
On June 3rd and 4th, 2025, the organization medicusmundi delivered medical-surgical supplies including small equipment to the District Services of Health, Women and Social Action of Montepuez.
The donation included a range of essential equipment aimed at improving the operation and quality of primary healthcare services, with a focus on maternal and child health. Some of the items included: privacy screens, adult scales with height meters, newborn scales, Pinard obstetric stethoscopes, speculums, measuring tapes, Kocher forceps, needle holders, scissors, catheters, blades, syringes, and suture threads, among others.
The supplies were allocated to the health facilities of Mapupulo and Ntapata, which provide services to the communities of the resettlement centres of Campona and Mumane – areas where medicusmundi carries out ongoing work to support and strengthen the local health system.
The initiative represents a significant contribution to enhancing the response capacity of health services, promoting better working conditions for health professionals and greater safety and dignity for patients. With this action, medicusmundi reaffirms its commitment to improving the quality of life of the most vulnerable communities in Cabo Delgado.
This activity is part of the humanitarian project “Improving the provision of quality health services to the displaced population and host communities of Ancuabe and Montepuez with a focus on particularly vulnerable”, funded by the Generalitat Valenciana and Valencian Cooperation.
